SEF meets: Georgie

Facilitator Feature Piġuqtuq Inspiration Project

Name: Georgianna Phillips “Georgie”

Background: (where are you from, where did you grow up, what do you do) Born and raised in Kotzebue. Besides Kotzebue, the camp life is a must to live and enjoy. Most of my focus is enjoying the great outdoors fishing, gathering of food and supporting activities with family.

Why did you become a Facilitator? Seeing the advertisement for this job grabbed my attention. My past employment has involved working with the public and individuals. I want to assist those that need support to make it to the next step and completion of the task they have decided on. To achieve the goals set. Having someone in their corner supporting the process of creating or completing a task can make all the difference in the world.

Passion: Seeing one succeed in whatever they do, from the small child taking their first step to an adult providing for themselves or others.
